LINCOLN, Neb. -- The landmark "Frank Lloyd Wright" house in McCook is the subject of a segment of NET television's "Nebraska Stories," next week.

Airing at 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, and repeating Monday, Jan. 30 at 9 p.m., the local segment will be on "The Sutton House" in McCook.

The only home in Nebraska designed and built by architect Frank Lloyd Wright is home to current owners Van and Janet Korell, who help give viewers a tour and learn about the contentious relationship between Wright and Elizabeth Sutton.

Through engaging storytelling and beautiful visuals each week, "Nebraska Stories" explores who we are as Nebraskans and features a variety of topics including art, nature, food, science and history.

Story highlights for the coming season include an intimate portrait of philanthropist Walter Scott Jr., a fresh look at rodeo through the lens of a photographer, a visit to the Flatwater Folk Art Museum in Brownville and a profile of the non-profit Hear Nebraska co-founder Andy Norman.

Besides the McCook visit, the Jan. 26 episode includes these other stories:

"The Point Is Poetry" from the largest poetry slam festival in the Midwest, see high school teams from Ogallala, Waverly and Omaha (Duchesne Academy and Skutt) performing with humor and gut-wrenching personal stories for the Pop-Tart Trophy.

"2000 Souls" profiles a University of Nebraska-Omaha student who draws attention to the 2000 Nebraska victims of sex trafficking by creating a flock of ceramic birds.

"The Saddle Maker" profiles second-generation saddle maker Lyle Henderson and his wife Lynda of Kearney who have turned a long-time tradition into an international business.
