BEAVER CITY, Neb. -- Dorothy Ruth (Stalder) Lambert, 81, died Wednesday (Nov. 25, 2915), at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Holdrege, Nebraska.

She was born Oct. 27, 1934, on a farm southwest of Beaver City, Nebraska, to John Ernest and Edith Jane (McCormack) Stalder.

She graduated from Beaver City High School in 1952 and became a teacher west of Beaver City. She married Arlyn Lambert on Feb. 27, 1953.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Beaver City and the Presbyterian Women's group.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Edith Stalder; brothers, Donald and Leo Stalder; and sisters, Maxine Bishop and Darlene Anderson.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Arlyn Lambert of Beaver City; children, Larry (Brenda) of Grand Island, Nebraska, Jacque (Ivan) Marshall of Kearney, Nebraska, and Chuck (Jaylene) of Bridgeport, Nebraska; brother, Ernie Stalder of Beaver City; sister, Doris Sydow of Trenton, Nebraska; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren,

Funeral services are Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, 10 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Beaver City with the Revs. Ivan and Joyce Dean officiating. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Beaver City.

Visitation is Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m.
