LINCOLN, Neb. -- Donald F. Uerling, 75, of Lincoln, died Saturday (April 11, 2015).

He was a retired professor at the College of Education and Human Services at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Nebraska State Bar Association (NSBA), American Bar Association (ABA), Nebraska Council of School Attorneys (NCOSA), Education Law Association, NSBA Council of School Attorneys, Federal Bar Association (FBA) and Nebraska State School Board Association.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lona, and three infant sons, John, James, and Daniel.

Survivors include children, Michael of Omaha, Nebraska, Michelle Uerling of Lincoln; one granddaughter and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial is Thursday, April 16, 2015, 11 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Lincoln, 7601 Vine Street with the Rev. Lyle Johnson officiating.

Rosary is Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the church. Visitation is today at 5 p.m. Monday at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home in Lincoln, 4040 A Street.

Graveside services are Friday, April 17, 2015, 1:30 p.m. at St. Catherine's Cemetery in Indianola, Nebraska.

Memorials may be given to St. John's Church or school.
