Wesson is all healed up, and made a visit to Santa Claus during "Pet Night" Thursday. Wesson came to the McCook Humane Society animal shelter as a stray in August, but he desperately needed ear surgery before he could be adopted. Pleas for help with the $400 surgery raised nearly $6,000 for the shelter. Following his surgery, Wesson recuperated at a foster home that became his "furever home." Donations made to the shelter for Wesson's surgery have been placed in a "Wesson Fund," to help pay for other shelter dogs' emergency medical and/or surgery needs. Santa plans to visit his winter wonderland at the Keystone Business Center Friday and Saturday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. each night as well as making other stops before wrapping up this year's Christmas season.
