'A Christmas Carol' MCC play opens Friday at Fox Theatre

McCOOK, Neb. -- Cast members enter the final week of preparations for this year's production of McCook Community College's "A Christmas Carol.'" MCC officials, actors and support personnel moved the production into the historic Fox Theater over the weekend in preparation for opening night Friday.

Performances are set for Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Cost is $5 and tickets are available at the door.

Since 1993 MCC has staged the Charles Dickens classic at least every other year. This will be the first production directed by Clay Grizzle who is using a different adaptation of the long-time holiday favorite. This year's production is based on the adaptation of well-known writer John Jakes.

This year's cast includes: Claire Coady, Hannah Goltl, Rachel Gordine, Isaac Hinze, Don Harpst, Malcom Hinze, Lori Savery-Hinze, Randy Hoelscher, Sarah Jones, Emily Karr, Jerilynn Karr, Olivia Koetter, Phil Lyons, Leeann McCarty, Liz McCarty, Avery McConville, John O'Dea, Debra Perrell, Allison Priddy, Kaylie Puckett, TJ Puckett, Hope Rowe, Dan Sewell, Danielle Sheneman, Roger Stupka, Duane Tappe, Sean Tolliver and Zachary Wright.
