Voter signup deadline Friday

Friday is the last day that a person can register to vote for the General Election.

The Red Willow County Clerk's Office will remain open until 6 p.m. for the purpose of registering first time voters or residents who have moved into the county or within the county.

The mail-in voter registration deadline has passed, so this applies to only in-person registrations.

Anyone who wants to vote must be a United States citizen, Nebraska resident and at least 18 years of age, or 17 years of age, and reach the age of 18 on or before Nov. 4, 2014.

Eligible applicants can print a Nebraska Voter Registration Application available at: http://www.sos.ne.gov/elec/pdf/vr.pdf and personally hand-deliver it to the county clerk's Office no later than the Oct. 24 in-person deadline.
