CAMBRIDGE, Nebraska -- Those who can't make it to the dedication this evening of the new cross west of Cambridge, Nebraska, can watch it online.

The dedication of the nine-ton, 50-foot-tall white cross is scheduled at 6 p.m, today, Good Friday. The ceremony will be at the base of the hill; parking will be available on the county road and in a nearby pasture and field.

Blaze Wireless will be live streaming this event for all the world to see. Click here or go to www.Ustream.com and in the search box at the top of the page enter BlazeWireless. This will connect a user to the channel they will be broadcasting on. Unless/until they are broadcasting, it will say "off air."

The cross will be blessed by the singing of "The Old Rugged Cross."

The list of speakers includes Don Jackson, president of Hastings College and a former Cambridge resident, who, as a young man, helped construct the nearby "Jesus Saves" sign in 1960. Other speakers will be Nebraska Sen. Mark Christensen and Cambridge Mayor Mark Harpst.

Jeff Wulf of United Methodist Church will sing "The Old Rugged Cross." The dedication ceremony will end with prayer.
