Heritage Senior Center wins Peter Keiwit grant

Thanks to a $20,000 matching grant from the Peter Kiewit Foundation, the McCook Heritage Senior Center is one step closer to its dream of renovating and expanding the center. Notification of the grant was received Monday, and is contigent on the cernter raising the final amount of $129,550 by December 2003. McCook man sentenced on sexual assault charges

In Red Willow District Court Tuesday, a McCook man was sentenced to 7-10 years with the Department of Corrections. Trevor M. Gray, 22, was sentenced to 7-10 years for attempted first degree sexual assault. Credit was granted for two days served.
